AccuTrip ("we", "our", or "the app") is a travel planning platform that predicts how busy Indian destinations will be on specific dates. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

a) Information you provide

• Google Sign-In data: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We use this solely for authentication and displaying your profile.
• Search queries: Destinations, origins, travel dates, and travel mode you enter when checking busyness scores.
• Feedback: Any ratings or feedback you submit about score accuracy.

b) Information collected automatically

• Usage data: Which features you use and how often (aggregated, not individually tracked).
• Device information: Device type, OS version, and app version for crash reporting.

c) Information we do NOT collect

• We do not collect your location in the background.
• We do not access your contacts, camera, or microphone.
• We do not collect payment or financial information.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide busyness scores and travel recommendations.
• To save your recent searches (My Trips) so you can revisit them.
• To improve our scoring accuracy using aggregated, anonymized feedback.
• To authenticate your account via Google Sign-In.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely in Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted infrastructure. We use HTTPS for all data transmission. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

• Google Sign-In: For authentication (governed by Google's Privacy Policy).
• Supabase: For secure database hosting.
• Vercel: For web hosting and API infrastructure.
• Amadeus, RapidAPI: For travel data (flight and hotel pricing). No personal data is shared with these services.

5. Data Retention

Search history is retained for up to 12 months. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Guest mode searches are not linked to any personal identifier.

6. Your Rights

• Access: You can view your stored data in the My Trips section.
• Deletion: Contact us to request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Guest mode: You can use the app without signing in. No personal data is collected in guest mode.

7. Children's Privacy

Our app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or by updating the date at the top of this page.
